AuD Externship In Louisville, KY

Heuser Hearing Institute (HHI) is a multi-specialty, not for profit campus promoting the needs of children and adults with disorders of hearing and balance.  HHI includes 4 facilities in addition to the Heuser Hearing & Language Academy (HHLA), which serves hearing-impaired preschoolers, and a research facility.  HHI’s interdisciplinary team includes audiologists, speech pathologists, developmental interventionists, teachers, otologists, behavioral health and researchers.  We are currently recruiting for 2-3 externship positions in audiology.  Ideal applicants will have diverse clinical experiences and will benefit from our multi-specialty practice.

The extern will gain experience in the following areas:

• Diagnostic testing
• Otology clinic experience
• Amplification, including extended wear and daily wear
• Implantables, including cochlear and bone anchored
• Assistive listening devices
• School based assessments
• Specialty electrophysiology
• Vestibular assessment and intervention
• Community outreach

Additional opportunities for interaction with HHI-affiliated researchers may also be available. Preference will be given to candidates prepared to transition entry-level skills to a fast-paced, multi-specialty center and a desire to create their own opportunity.
