What You’ll Do

As an Audiologist at CHSC, you’ll provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services to patients of all ages while working closely with families and interdisciplinary care teams.

Diagnostic Evaluation & Counseling

• Perform comprehensive audiologic evaluations
• Conduct case history reviews and otoscopic examinations
• Utilize diagnostic equipment including audiometers, immittance systems, and OAE technology
• Interpret results and develop individualized treatment recommendations
• Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss and communication options
• Coordinate referrals to physicians, ENTs, speech-language pathologists, educators, and other professionals as appropriate

Hearing Technology & Treatment

• Assess candidacy for hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening technology
• Take ear impressions and fit custom hearing devices
• Program, verify, and fine-tune hearing aids and implant systems
• Provide hearing aid troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
• Educate patients and families on device use, care, and maintenance
• Recommend hearing protection, swim molds, and other custom products

Rehabilitation & Patient Support

• Provide aural rehabilitation services
• Develop communication strategies tailored to individual needs
• Support patients as they adapt to amplification and hearing technology
• Track and evaluate treatment outcomes to ensure successful patient care

Collaboration & Administration

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and billing records
• Manage hearing aid inventory and equipment resources
• Participate in community education, outreach, and fundraising activities
• Stay current with advances in audiology, hearing technology, and best practices

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s Degree in Audiology from an ASHA CAA-accredited program
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A)
• Ohio Audiology License (or eligibility with license application in progress)
