Your Experience Will Include:
- Full-scope diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology, including:
- Comprehensive audiometric testing (including immittance, OAEs)
- Functional & Communication Needs Assessments
- Cerumen management
- Tinnitus evaluation and management
- Cochlear implants
- Bone Anchored Hearing Devices (BAHD)
- Basic vestibular evaluations
- Aural rehabilitation
- Exposure to advanced procedures, including:
- In-office non-radiographic 3D ear scanning
- Ordering of imaging related to auditory and vestibular concerns
- Diverse clinical environments:
- Our main office serves patients from birth through centenarians, including members of the Deaf community
- Our mobile clinic visits a local assisted living facility bi-monthly, offering real-world, hands-on care in a non-traditional setting
- Interdisciplinary collaboration:
- Work closely with one audiologist assistant to optimize patient care and learn effective team-based workflows
- Shadow our front office manager to gain valuable insight into scheduling, insurance, patient communications, and the business side of audiology

Our audiologist is actively involved in state and national initiatives shaping the future of the audiology profession. As part of this externship, you will have the opportunity to be immersed in advocacy, policy development, and professional leadership—equipping you with a broader understanding of audiology beyond the clinical setting.
