Paid Audiology Externship

Spend your externship year in Redding! Audiology Associates of Redding has been helping people recover their hearing since 1985. Since we first opened our doors, we’ve been committed to improving the patient experience from start to finish. This has resulted in a unique patient experience that is comfortable, relaxed and stress-free. We have an exciting opportunity for an Audiology student to join our team!
As an extern with us, you will gain experience with:
- administering diagnostic tests
- counseling on test results
- providing hearing aid selection and fitting to all populations (mostly adults)
- following up with patients to ensure they have what is needed to become a successful hearing aid user
- cochlear implant candidacy evaluations
- follow up MAPping
- tinnitus evaluations
Diagnostic testing will include pure tone air and bone, speech testing, speech in noise testing, DPOAEs, tympanometry and acoustic reflexes.
